Makes it easier to click

It will be a struggle for most kiwis .did this in Australia years ago there were no problems I heard of

trade_to_you, Feb 29, 9:33pm
Im preparing, im starting a panel beaters. about to be a booming business!

nativewun, Feb 29, 9:39pm
I've got a feeling the riders will be high in casualty numbers.

elliehen, Feb 29, 9:45pm
Get your Grandpa to take you out for a practice. That was the rule when he learned to drive ;)

whqqsh, Mar 1, 3:28am
official dude on the radio the other day said if youre not sure OR if someone does get it wrong, just be courteous and patient. he obviously doesnt drive in South Auckland that often

pup2, Mar 1, 4:39am
I'm opening up a carpentry business, someone is going to have to fix the wagon wheels and horse carts when they crash in southland

xpfairmont, Mar 1, 1:22pm
Only if there's two on the road at the same time.

woody1946, Mar 1, 2:10pm
I started practicing already, but so far all I have had is abuse. Whats wrong with people !

scotthurst01, Mar 1, 2:17pm
We don't give way out south. it's just the way it is, so there'll be no change for any of us.

xpfairmont, Mar 1, 2:58pm
Bigger car wins, why don't they put that in the road code

bjdw, Mar 1, 3:24pm
If you're implying that Aussies are more intelligent than Kiwis, please make your way to the nearest airport and F**K THE HELL OFF!

elshaun, Mar 1, 3:40pm
I think that the irony in this law change is that overnight, all the idiots that never obeyed the current rules will instantly become the safest, least confused people on the road

NZTools, Mar 1, 3:55pm
I drive in aussie resonably regularly. The transition from giveing way to your right, to giving way to your left is reasonably easy. After a day or two, it becomes second nature, and once you are used to it, it makes a lot moresense, and traffic flows a lot better than the way we currently do it.

sanders4, Mar 1, 5:44pm
I am currently driving in UK where many of the roads are narrow, long queues build up behind any right turning vehicles as there is no shoulder to squeeze by on. They sure could do with our old left turn gives way to right turn law to speed up traffic.

moosie_21, Mar 1, 6:45pm
Maybe over there, where there is a hell of a lot more traffic!

dave653, Mar 2, 11:03am
Foriegn driver said it best. 'car with the shortest turn, has right of way'.

mojo49, Mar 2, 4:40pm
Not a problem for me. I stuck to the old rule when they changed to the current silliness way back. Had a few close shaves and one or two unpleasant gestures over the last twenty something years, but the new old rule will be easy, sensible and much safer than the silly one we imported from Australia. Only 1 state there went with it and they changed back several years ago. Common sense rules for once, but it has taken a long time to happen. Looking forward to being the one making the rude gestures once the new rule comes in!

ema1, Mar 2, 6:57pm
Just talking unpleasant gestures .there's bound to be heaps of them shown in the next while from March 25th by ignorant sods out there, strewth there are enough of them at present but they're bound to increase in number.
Funny how a simple change stuffs up a lot of the public at large.Check it all out after march and you'll see what I mean.

serf407, Mar 3, 5:50am
#1- the illustration does not show what happens when jay walking pedestrians, cycle couriers, B-train trucks (that cut the intersection even when turning wide) etc are added to the car mix.

kokako14, Mar 3, 9:58am
Was discussing this with Granny yesterday.
I asked her about the change of rules and was she up with the play
She said, yes, its the opposite to what it is now.
So I asked what about at round-abouts
Shes got that one covered too, its the opposite to now, so you go around the round-about the other way
Must remember to walk to work Monday 26th march

male_timaru, Mar 3, 12:51pm
So what IS THE NEW ROAD rule!

Just asking because i actually haven't seen ANY information anywhere about it lol
