Impossible to tell. As it depends on how fast the lawn mower was travelling on average.

It's a lawn mower why are you worried about the amount of ks it's done

maybe the cambelt needs doing - it seems to be the top on everyones question list.

Even the difference between a tight lawn and an open field will make a vast difference the the K's traveled vs the hours run.

It's a lawn mower why are you worried about the amount of ks it's done.so i have a fair idea if it has travelled the length of nz or not and if it had id say its probably time for a rebuild and thats hard to do with money that i dont have a lot of.

Also ask owner if it has nitrogen in the tyres & lightweight oil in the motor to make less impact on your lawn

I think what you want to know is how many hours the machine has done vs the design life of the machine. Also you want to check if it has had regular maintenance, ride on mowers work very hard and if not maintained can die early deaths or cause lots of grief for unwary owners.

If you think of it this way, it has done 69.25, 40hour weeks of work/running.

This mower has done 277,000 km, if it was traveling at an average of 100kph for its whole working life.

If it was a car,it would have done about a quarter of a million k's. I'd say it's worn out.

What make of ride on, year and size/type engine! would help in making some decisions

Looks like the model beside it has done more hours than the mower.

If you really want to know, then it would be about 5000k. Now you have that, what use is it! IF it were a car, it is half way to its first oit change. But it isn't it is a lawn mower. So you look at the condition based on what you see, not by how many K's it has done. Just like looking at a car really.

Don't forget to include time sitting at traffic lights/intersections.

As previous posters said maintenance is the key. My old ride on got an oil change every 4 years whether it needed it or not. Also had a bad habit of having a wheel fall off!. The mowing we used the ride on for varied from a very easy stalk topping to attacking 2 foot high kikuyu grass ( with stones, old posts, wire etc hidden inside. Ran over a spade one day left by our neighbours in long grass and that cost a new set of blades.

If a contractor uses his little 5hp briggs mower for say 20 hours a week, then that's 1000 hrs a year and they usually get 5 or 6 years out of it. I would say the ride on with a bigger motor and maintained should well be OK at 2770 hrs. Just divide hours by number of years old, that will give you some idea of use.
