Would I D tags off a xu1 be worth anything to the Holden boys! Cheers

Why would you have the tags but no XU1 to go with them!

Only worth something to someone who wants to build a replica and then pass it off as genuine and rip people off.

You WRECKED a genuine XU1! That is bordering on a criminal offence!

Had a situation years back. Did a full body work and respray on a HT Monaro. When it came time to return car the body tag was missing. Not taken off or lost by me either I might add. So there was a fair bit of finger pointing going on as to whom lost it. Anyway years later after the owner not being able to prove ownership or get it rego'ed etc etc he had to buy a wreck with id tags on it and use them. So yes Im sure someone may just want it. And of course to make one and call it real. But who would do that! No one Surely.

Could be worth gold.

Read up on the history of Ford GT40's.Many of them were rebuilt and given new body tags.some cars had 3 or 4 sets .

read that article in Classic Car magazine, really surprised how hard parts were to come by. He went all over Oz, attending swap meets to find parts for the XU1. Thought Holdens were common as.
