just to let you know that I was quoted $180 and $225 for a main timing belt (castle garden) Bought one off the net from UK for 45 pounds delivered. took 6 days to get here. the lawns did not grow very much

The V belt pushers claim that the belts are special because of reverse bending because of idler wheels. The standard belts often work OK so I found after spending about $300 on green gates belts.A friend spent $60 on his rideon and is still going OK.

Ordinary 'A' section V belts for my Husky ride-on are around $30 from the local engineering shop .Normally last several years at least until I bugger them through abuse topping hay in the paddock on my lifestyle block.
