. a bumbling mess,. My head is full of all sorts of information about 7/8 seaters and I am ready to crawl under the couch and never think about another vehicle. Nissan Presage/Liberty/Prairie, Toyota Gaia/Ipsum, Honda Odyssey, chain/cambelt, CUV/RV/!, 1st generation/2nd generation, signature car, dealer/private/repo. HEEEELP! On the saner side of things I am looking for a 7/8 seater, economical, lower kms, pref. chain, contemp. transmission, cd player, aircon, safety features, vg electrics, sliding backdoors (but will compromise), good space inside, in good knick and will go to $7,000. However, if lower all the better. roof bars are a plus also. Yes, I have looked at the Multipla and agree it is great, but alas way out of my price range, but thx for mentioning it:):) Advice greatly received, might even get out from under the couch, lol, thx one and all!

Kowhai-- I could give you a whole heap of advice and suggestions. Frankly though the controlling number is your budget of $7000 This rules out a lot of vehicles right away. You wont get a 03 or newer pressage (sliding door) You wont get a new shape ipsum (2000 plus) You may get a 2000-2003 odyssey You may get a liberty 2.0l -sliding doors You may get a gaia But then you want roomy AND economical unfortunately you really need to decide whats more important. the liberty/gaia are reasonably economical but only ok space wise-the odyssey is roomy but not as economical. Incidently another idea might be a Lafesta. (new liberty)they are still fairly new here so you may get one cheap for that reason.

Dear God
(Praying from under couch as 11 mins have elapsed and no one has answered me) Please direct all online TM advisers to my thread. I hate it under the couch and can't bear to go surfing for a 7/8 seater again - it is just too hard. If you answer my prayer I promise to never crawl under the couch again and I will also stop talking to myself. Amen and thx

kowhai-Look given your budget I'm tempted to reccomend you look at a 98-99 odyssey 2.3l auto. --ie old shape with reasonable milage. This will give you a solid reliable running. Change most likely from your budget to replace the cambelts. Hey they aren't the most economical but solid reliable old busses they are.

Thx kazbanz, I don't mind an older model of any type so long as it is reliable and eco. Will check them out. :):)
