Is there a Carburetor that can replace the Hitachi

The Hitachi Carburetor with Water Choke, is there a compatible Carburetor that does not have the water choke that can be used on the 1989 Japanese import Mazda Familia!
If so where could I buy one!

you can just disable the joke in to the off position i have had to do this on nisans also bit hard to start in winterdont know how cold hammilton gets but up here they drive the car now 3 years with no choke assuming that that is the part that is faulty on yours.
And if you can find a carb that bolts on then you can likely use that what ever as a carburettor is just a way to mix petrol and controll the amount mazda familia is also called a 323 or laser so any carb from these could potentially work if they have the same intake manifold

probably but not on the nissan well you could when you would engeneer and machine parts . so anything is possibile but you could also make a whole new carburettor then lol

But it's a Mazda. anyway, I'm not familar with that carb but if they have a butterfly and a mechanism to open and close it, a cable is an option to at least consider.

Hey guys I am taking the carburettor in to the local carby shop here in Hamilton and I will ask him if it osiible to convert to a manual choke. I have thought of that but there are a few things to be looked at first.
Will see what he says there!

Baby two barrel Holley. We used to fit them to Mitsis in place of the original carb. Takes a bit to sort the jetting out but good options when its done.

I was able to disable the auto choke on my 4AF powered corolla with a piece of wire on the side of the road. Did it when the alternator broke, on that car the electrically operated auto choke was fed by the alternator off the same wire that goes to the battery warning light.

Yo dudes, this carburetor has a number of solenoids and vacuum hoses running all over the place. I wonder where half of them lead to.

Will have auto enrichment, air bypass, accelerator pump etc etc. Weber upgrade!
