A scrap metal company put up a $3,000 prize this year.In previous years it has only been $500 (I think).There were only 8 entries.I would have thought that much cash would have attracted a few more.
It was won by a Subaru Legacy station wagon.

I watched the documentary on this a few years ago. It was Hilarius. I also would have though that prize would draw in more entrants.

One guy turned up in his mums stil WOFed and regoed Primera, stripped it down in the car park and entered it in the derby.
He only lasted about 5 minutes.

we striped the inside out and fitted a pole behind the drivers seat ina hq holden then drove it to the track when they were filming the movie then smashed all the windows out when we got there and entered the derby, love the old days.
