report it

new owner probably has no clue and just assumed that because of the stickers.Though even I can spot that it certainly appears to be a WRX not an Sti, and I'm no Subaru expert.

Plus, it's really obviously priced at WRX level not Sti level :-)

There's often a "Type R" Honda Prelude up for grabs and plenty of riced out WRX's.

You could report it, but really, it's just as much the buyers responsibility as it is the sellers to identify what they're buying.

It would be better to contact the seller if you're adamant its the same car and inform them.

yes well on carjam it comes up with past licence plates, so 100% the same car. nah shell be right, still went well that car did, if someone expects an ra sti for that money they probably wont notice its not one.

"heaps of receipts on maintenance"

Can't even get a measly key scratch out from last owner.

It does look like a really nice example for the price.Either it has been really well looked after by the owner, or somebody has done a great job of a groom for the photos.

Certainly it is *way* more nicely presented than most of those cars, which tend to have fallen victim to monkey mods by now.

Sti would have red inlet manafold and most likly an intercooler sprayer
