Hey all, just got back from Tauranga, again. Got the auto box working properly, TV cable needed adjusting. Hauraki Plains, either side of Ngatea, 105km/h, 7.5l/100km. Also did the same along the route between Ngatea and Miranda. real nice loooonnngg straight roads running parrallel with the sea, so I knew it wasn't 'slightly' downhill. When I bought the car we were lucky to get 30mpg, in std form. Handfull of hours and a little bit of cash has made the difference, considering the gummint is about to increase the ETS again.

My Fairmont does that Auckland to Hamilton via Gordonton but it's boring as hell.

Tis boring! Too quiet, too 'girly' comfy, nothing to do. Gimme my 5 speed and exhaust any day.

Car feels best at that, 100 is not quite right. Know what your car feels like! And besides. what does your 'favorite quote' say!
