That sort of bike would be a pig of a thing unless it's used on the road, you need an off road machine.

Yes, obviously it would be a road bike. what i mean is that it wont be driven around other vehicles

what about a 4 wheeler, great around the lifestyle block & can tow a trailer, & down the beach & up the riverbedsI use mine all the time

Sounds like he has very little experience on bikes. How about a Honda XR200 or CRF230, Yamaha TTR230 or similar. Lets him learn bike skills and they are reliable, robust and strong so when he comes off ( as he will) the bike will usually be OK.

agree, no matter what you get theres always something out there that fits the bill better in his opinion. Remember if it is for 'around the bach' most road bikes are not happy even on a back lawn (Ive seen many experienced riders go in & out of events on grass & end up on the deck). Bikes, probably moreso than cars, are very subjective & one small thing wrong can be the killer

If a novice better tohave a quad bike,then you can ride on the back .
