collosal1, Apr 22, 10:12pm

WELL!ANSWER ME FFS

martin11, Apr 23, 8:59am
Just restore it to original do not destroy it .It will be worth more original if its not full of rust

nightboss, Apr 23, 9:01am
Sounds like an interesting project, I allways thought the Viscount and PC Cresta look like a little brother of the Chev Impala.

Have a look on Google Images there is a roof chopped one and lots of restored ones too.

hat was directed at everyone in motoring

Theres been heaps of them done over the years, but dont ignore the old 3.3, those things could really perform with a bit of work to them. Check out the pre 65 race cars and on of the fastest around is a PB Vaux 3.3 with triple sidedraughts, and he really keeps the mustangs honest.

Heres a nice v8 1 Ive seen in action a few times

is it a blue pb!i think i saw that at ruapuna a few weekends ago and those that say its worth more original, maybe maybe not after all cresta prices arent exactly high anyway

petermcg, Apr 23, 2:31pm
I think they have the room, Did you know the PC Cresta came out of the Factory in South Africa with a 318 chrysler V8!

trogedon, Apr 23, 3:09pm
Or a Corvette.

My dad had a PC Cresta 3.3 with "powerglide" (IIRC) auto.Hells bells - when I was a kid I thought it was pretty cool when he put Dunlop Aquajets on it, and it squealed on every corner, just like on American movies.
He had it for quite a few years, and it was actually a very reliable car for him - I don't think it had any "issues" over the time he owned it, and it was comfy on longer trips.
Is the 3.3 motor the same as a 202 holden!

Only in size, not the same motor, more grunt though (o:

OP - if you want a V8 (!) then buy a V8.

sr2, Apr 23, 3:59pm
Although both engines are GM they are quite different. The Vauxhall 3.3 has a larger bore and most importantly a true 12 port head whereas the Holden Red 202 has Siamese inlet ports. The 3.3 can produce a lot of power with only a little work, great motor.

zephyrheaven, Apr 23, 5:53pm
As above - great motor

I have a PA stored away for the kids to take to school when theyre older, will be putting a warm 3.3 in that hopefully
Had a few PC's before the Zephyrs - great cars , luxury motoring even in 1995 when I was 17 lol

michelle322, Apr 23, 6:07pm
had a pc with a 283 -327 heads floor change manual back in the 70,s,easy fit except exhaust manafolds .trouble is the chassis rails curve inwards in the eng bay,so had to make special headers to clear.maybe modern block huggers might fit.

thank you,see that wasnt so hard it only took 22 posts to get one good one
