Let me explain: My V6 Ford Telstar (1994) TX5 runs more or less well, but when it accelerates or decelerates, there's always a soft 'stuttering'. So when I let off the accelerator, it will jerk softly a few times until I either go again or else change gear. I've run two tanks of 98 through the engine, and while 98 seems to help with it during acceleration, deceleration remains the same. Do I need to add a fuel cleaner to the next tank of petrol!

I thought engine mounts but seeing as it is a stuttering rather than one jerk then it would suggest that there may be more to the problem. Still check the engine mounts though.
Check all the plugs, and measure the resistance of the leads. google says about 10k ohms per foot of length.

Check for signs of ht leads tracking down where they touch the motor or each other
