What do you mean by "official country"! In the 80's I had three Ford Escorts at the same time, assembled in three different countries. 1971 Estate (NZ), 1974 2dr Sport (GB) and 1977 2.0 Ghia (AUS). As Ford is an American company are they all American! Was my aunties 1986 Holden BarinaJapanese (Suzuki), Australian (Holden), New Zealand (NZ new) or as Holden is part of GM are they American too! This is a pointless yet interesting thread. Pointless in that cars have been global for decades now.
Japan - lots (20+!) Italy -2 (Fiats sadly) UK -7 that I can remember (jag, rovers, austins, vauxhalls) NZ - 1 (Lynx kit car.Very sadly.even sadder than owning a fiat) Australia - two But I have never owned a Ford as far as I can recall.

No Fords, No GM.
