Does anyone remember the old stationwagon tailgate (either version)! Does anyone still make a car with a tailgate that comes down!I am not particular as towhether the window portion goes up or rolls down inside the tailgate.

the closest I've seen in a modern vehicle would be the Mitsi Outlander with the horizontally split tailgate, but I don't think that really counts. To get what you are after would probably be a case of getting a clever customiser / panelbeater to modify a stationwagon to suit, but it would cost you a fortune, probably far outweighing whatever benefit you are looking for. Can you make do with a ute that has a canopy! That gives you a fold down tailgate and a dry cargo space.

its a bad idea . only good one was the fiat tempra and marea who had a bumper fold down and tailgate up you could then fit a whole transporting wood frame in the back with a fork hoist.my mate does not know what to buy next in europe once his marea is a goner . I said a dacia with barn doors.
