Something you don't see a lot of in unzud is the big hand protectors you see in europe. Massive wind deflectors.

I have a pair of heavy leather wool-lined mittens, and I'll use them if I need to. Yesterday I went into Motorad and bought a pair of Triumph 'Expidition' gloves for $150 something. Looked like a well-made winter glove, and I think Triumph would have reasonable quality control. Not that I'm a Triumph fan, and these gloves are proudly embroidered 'Triumph' dammit, while I ride a Ducati. I probably would have had to pay a lot more for similar quality Ducati gloves in Motomart, the Ducati dealer. The only gloves Motorad had that were not made in China were Spidi, and they were over $200.

I reckon those hand guards are very effective. Last winter I made up a set for my BG400, which I sold recently, and they made a huge difference in keeping the hands warm.

got some BMW Motorad summer gloves and heated grips. A good combination as it keeps some flexibility in your hands / fingers not like you are riding with a couple of marshmellows on the end of your arms
