Indicaters only working

50% of the time
is this a wof fail!

Driving around auckland, it don't really matter. 90% of People don't indicate anymore. Pisses me off. They just stop in the middle of the road to turn.Or rejoin traffic from the side of the road by cutting into traffic.Esp on the motorway, people could not care less, they just switch lanes without indicating.

its a pass if it works at wof and a fail if he notices it dont.

I could do a short film on this, it's so widespread.

stabi--Ok either this is a pisstake thread in which case my reply is
Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No Yes No

Or if what you mean is sometimes theindicators don't work at all then as others have said -if they work when tested then you will pass.
But you need to get them fixed so they work propperly

hamishcookie, Apr 27, 8:17am
That's why you never ask a blond if your indicators are working

stabi360, Apr 27, 8:28am
one second they are on and one second they are off

Mine failed on them working too fast! Flasher unit fitted 6 years prior, new idiot at VTNZ. I went to AA service and they showed me the book of rules. They have to flash between 60 and 120 time a minute. My flasher unit was for a six lamp car, and I only had 4. VTNZ moron said to wire in an extra bulb in the boot to load up the system to slow it down. Bought the correct flasher for $5 and fixed the problem.

I like slow flashers, much more relaxing than fast ones

kazbanz, Apr 27, 11:41am
I'm sorry dude but can you explain how the VTNZ guy is a moron!
He failed on indicators to fast -You fixed it by replacing the solenoid so whaats the issue! Gosh he even offered a low cost solution if you chose to take it.

dave653, Apr 27, 4:52pm
Wasn't the first time I 'met' him. Was finally fired after pissing off an old lady. As for 'offering' a cheap fix. wtf!

kazbanz, Apr 27, 5:39pm
By the very fact you replaced the solenoidits quite clear he was correct in this case. Would you still be crowing that he was a moron if the solenoid was $50 or $500. -wiring in extra resistance makes sense to me

dave653, Apr 27, 5:44pm
Why did it take 6 years for this 'issue' to be noticed! Typical VTNZ, no concistency.
