or may mean nothing at all, the FBH55 is something to do with country of manufacture and factory within that country, if the 466636 is the chassis number it would be a 57! from that list

On British cars from 50's 60's 70's you can date to the nearest decade by looking at the glass - assuming it is fitted and hopefully most is original. Look for a dot by letters on word TOUGHENED, number of the letter (eg 5) means fifth year of decade. No dot is end of decade year. You can tell the production month as well, can't remember it so well now, but all details are on Wikipedia

and the coil and the starter motor.Thats assuming that all of those parts have not been replaced in the last 55 years.Just about anythig made by Lucas has a date stamp on the casting.Usually 4 numbers ie 1057 being October 1957
