Dunno if this has been a thread in the past! Ben looking at updating my Nuvi 1300 and it seems that this costs nearly $100.00 to do. Any suggestions where it could be cheaper! Was supposed to come with lifetime updates but that seems not to work. Could be better to buy a new one and start over! Brian

lifetime updates that dont work! map updates are enough of a rip off without getting shafted on lifetime updates, ring navman and give them a what for. buy a garmin next time, map updates are free via open source.

Yea had thought of ringing and giving them a mouthfull but I thought save the oxygen! Can get an update through the open GPS site and put it on a card and disable the existing. The open GPS site evidently updates one a week and would seem the best way to go, Thanks for the responces.

If your unit was meant to have life time maps I'd ring Navman and ask about it.

I had an Earlier Navman and bought an Update disc and it was blank, rang their ' lack of help line' three times and never got the CD. Took Hammer to Navman and curse out the company every chance I get. This would be one of those occasions.
