About to sell the family car. Just wondering what a suitable price to list on here would be! It's a 1995 Mazda Eunos 800 Millenia. 250,000kms. Cambelt/waterpump done at 220,000kms. New W.O.F/Rego. Smooth 2.5L engine & auto box. Interior immaculate. A/C Working along with electrics. 4 wheel steering, 15" mags. Exterior straight but paint rough in places. Suitable figure it should be listed for! thanks guys

$1200-$1500

That sounds about right if the description is accurate. Put it up for $2000 and let the buyer talk you down a few hundred bucks. They'll feel like they got a bargain, and everyone's happy.

I'll give you $2

$1500 or so, they're not a popular car unfortunately.

I'd suggest you do a $1.00 reserveauction with good quality pictures.
I feelyou will get between $1000 and $1200
My reasoning being that the 800 has a rep for being a nice limo like car to drive but also for having a weak gearbox and not being economical.
to give you an indicationI just got $1500 for a 97 primera with a roughishbody done just short of 200k with a new wof and the same for a really straight astina done similar milage. Both reasonably popular cars.

I had a Sentia for a few years, found it "a nice limo car to drive" as kabanz says. I loved the 4 wheels steer for parkingbut not so much at high speed. Electrics were the biggest problem though mainly windows etc. probably a nice car to have for a while if you can get a low mileage one that jas been looked after.price guess about $1500 as said.

Danny sorry if I sound like a know it all but I would STRONGLYsuggest you run an auction rather than a classified listing.
I'd really hate to hear that story "buyer wants his money back what do I do"
The specific car you are selling has a fairly high chance of that happening.

oh ok. why do you say that! the cars been pretty reliable for the past 200,000kms we've travelled in it since 2002. everything like a/c, trans, engine are still silky smooth. Are the Millenia's a bit of a lemon usually! but yes i do see your point about running an auction instead. My daughter had a Mazda MS-8 efini with 110,000kms that was immaculately cared for cosmetically and mechanically but the damn thing got returned by the buyer after she sold it through classified due to the trans shitting itself. strange because the engine in her car looked remarkably similar to the one in mine but she always had more problems despite the lower mileage. luck of the drawer i guess. thanks for the feedback!

But at least with a classified the buyer can't leave bad feedback,
