13.7 secs is the average for stock standard

1/4 mile times differ from driver to driver. some people don't know how to drive or race for that matter. different days also make a difference. so 14 sec's could be a good figure

I googled it. I came across a forum where a few people had taken stock standard ones down the strip. Times differed. Some were a little lower than I mentioned, some a little higher. The average was around the figure I mentioned in my previous post.
I would have posted a link to the site if it wasnt for trademe mods. Wsnt going to risk it.

really!
I believe the E49 ran around 14.4, which was remarkable, but if you've ever been in one (I have) they are very basic (crude even) and considerably lighter than todays cars, which are packed full of central locking, a/c, airbags etc. I reckon there would be 250- 300kg difference in weight between the two.!
Plus the old Charger used something like 13 miles per gallon, whereas the turbo 6 will be approaching 30.
Still love the old charger, but hardly comparing apples eh.

for the amount of effort, it would have been easier to type it in on google to find a 1/4 mile time. just sayin
bellky,
May 7, 9:55am
Yip that would have been preferable as this thread is not very pleasant.

13.7 seriously.there are two litre four pot non turbo's that have done in 13 flat.one of them was a 1993 UK TE nissan primera.

You gotta take the weight into account though mang.

And modifications.some people really need to engage brain before posting.
foxdonut,

Lol. You've obviously got the mad hook ups for controlled substances. Did the Primera also transform into a giant robot and grant wishes!
That was a factory option right!

are you sure you are not confusing 0-100k times with quarter mile
cuda.340,
May 7, 4:38pm
yeah true. my dirty old V8 valiant runs 9's, is very very basic & mileage would be in the low single digits & there's no air bags, turbo or central locking, but i'd rather drive that than a Ford.

High 13s for the ZF auto version. Manual is really a case of finding a driver who can get those shifts right on the money to compete with that. Not spectacular but then again throw some very subtle mods at it and there is much more to be gained.

Both the Manual and Auto Falcon have a modification pathway.
