Looking for a Truckie to move some steelwork

paceengineering, May 4, 7:05pm
Hi all, im a first home owner/builder and have bought 4 x 310UB Steel Portal frames which are cut into managable lengths from Timaru and im looking for a truckie to transport it up to Taranaki for me. They can be loaded and unloaded with a forklift at each end. Dimensions & Weight for the stack of steel works out approx 9200mm long x 1400mm wide x 1800mm high and 4.3 Tonnes. Is anyone here a truckie or know anyone who can do a good deal on road freight for me! Flexible with time also over the next couple of weeks or so to work in with load heading up to Taranaki ways. What $ can it be done for! Cheers.

Bit long for any of our units, most are 8.5m long so that might be an issue for you

9.2 meters severly curtails your ability to move them. you wont find many single artic units crossing the cook striaght.
