Anyone know what these were commonly in, in NZ! I have a Jaeger speedo and triple gauge unit (oil pressure, temp and fuel). I THINK they were from a Riley Kestrel, but just wondering if there's any other possibilities!

Could perhaps be from anything BL or Rootes. Not sure but I think they were just a "flash' version of Smiths.
Jaeger-LeCoultre has produced measuring instruments, such as speedometers and fuel meters, under the Jaeger brand. The Jaeger instruments for automobiles were mostly used by the French automobile makers Citroën, Peugeot and Renault. Jaeger speedometers and tachometers were also supplied to British sports cars manufacturers such as Triumph. Many Italian cars such as Ferrari have used Jaeger automobile instrumentation

The 1965 Riley 4/72 I owned years ago had Jaeger instruments in it Tacho,Speedo, plus Fuel, Oil Pressure & Temp gauges even the clock was Jaeger branded even though the guts of the instruments were all pure Smiths. Good and reliable but had to redo the temp gauge capillary and bulb unit with ether a couple of times due to very fine cracks in the tube!

Ya they are good quality units, as you say, pretty much Smiths (or Smiths are Jaeger.potato potato.).
It doesn't count as self promotion if I haven't started the auction yet. /disclaimer ;)

A lot were british jaeger. Some of them were written/marked as such. Then badged as smiths. The diameter of the tripple unit will soon tell if it's old BMC Or ID 19/21 Andre Cit.
