Porting ain't hard just remember you want to lift the intake transfer and exhaust ports for power and r p m.-only nead 1 to 2 mill shaving. As to nikasil coating! what's the 2smoke! A lot of aftermarket piston/bore kits around nowadays

Cr 250 By bore kit do you mean steel sleeve. As this is not an option as they effect the temp and cause other problems.

Back in the day you used to be able to get the**Thumper** kits ported barell and o/s piston. mytbe some still around on ebay!

The first things to try before you mess with the ports: 1. Optimise the squish band and make it work properly. 2. Make a PROPER pipe that matches the exhaust port timing. There is nothing to be gained by using a 10k rpm pipe on a 8.5k rpm port.

You can "champfer" the top of the piston down on an angle at the port areas.just don go to close to the ring land.beats having a crack at a Chome bore and stuffin it up Gav
