Interesting about the Concorde front end - I had always thought (no idea where I heard it) that it was rear Ford (obviously) and front Holden.

Impossible to know the real one but Lucas had 2 made. One for wrecking and stunts the other was a driver car and went to England. the #1 pic is a fruad as does not show the blower. on YT theres about 50people who made exact replicas and they look real good. ask George Lucas when you next see him where the original is
or even Mel Gibson mite know where the Interceptor ended up. Another theory is Lucas had them both totally destroyed so no one could make a claim on them later

George lucas had NOTHING to do with this movie it was filmed in OZ not USA Byron Kennedy was the producer,George Miller was the director, and it was made on a budget of OZ $400000 made a profit of OZ$100million not bad for a low cost movie with a "unknown" lead actor

i read that a pom who immigrated to the aussie outback bought it, and numerous other Madmax items, i also remember it featuring in a street machine magazine many years ago, someone saved it from the scrapheap and rebuilt it to original specs.

The movie was originally made to lose money, but didn't quite work. All the cars were new, then beaten up to look the part.
