Got told that my front wheel drive 99 pulsar will not pass a warrant because the right hand front bumpstop needs replacing.Is this an actual warrant requirement or not!

nah bro. They're purely for cosmetic reasons, don't actually do anything except make your car look stupid cuz its too high. You should just take them out and not worry about it.

they stop metal to metal contact when you hitlarge bumps and reach end of suspension travel. Probably stops metal fatigue and possible failure .meh. its only steering .totally overrated .

yes missing or modified bump stops is a fail for a wof. they are there to limit suspension travel when hitting a pot hole or speed bump etc. rear 1s are also importent, have fail a wof on a hilux before because the owner had lowered it and removed the rear ump stops, the diff had been hitting the chassis and when he took it to the panel beaters the pretty much wrote if off, had to go have major chassis repairs and a cert.
