Yes its the same one.I was keen but a little out of my leaque at the moment.The car being deregistered doesn't help .

Its a well known "myth" that Vauxhall 72 model was copied off a smaller version of 68 Pontiac Laurentian ;) striking similar in small ways. only laurentian owners will spot some similarities

My memory tells me they were a quick car too, certainly by early '70's standards they were.I remember driving one very similar to the one linked to in the other post, an SL version with a overdrive gearbox in it.Essentially a Bedford truck engine with IIRC a twin carb setup on it.I think in the UK they were called a Ventora instead of a Victor.It certainly would have been a faster vehicle than an equivalent 6 cyl Holden Belmont/Kingy etcof the same year range, had plenty of pulling power.Nice body shape too those FD's,
