Hi there, My 1994 Ford Futura wagon motor cut out yesterday and now won't start. I had it idling while I stopped at the top of our driveway and it just cut out. It's turning over but not firing. It's been running fine including a recent trip to the Coromandel without any problems. I know it could be anything but any thoughts as to whether it's more likely to be electrical or mechanical! Thank you.

Fuel starvation! Maybe tip a few more litres in tank and hope for an improvement

Thanks for your thoughts.,it had plenty of petrol;) just no spark apparently. Has since been towed to the garage and awaiting diagnosis. Possibly the distributor but will no more when the mechanic calls.

Ohh, I was going to suggest it probably had no spark and may the distributor, or maybe the flux capacitor. Hope the bill does not hurt too much.
