im not too sure if it can be done in NZ what sort of car is it , I remember buying a new balancer for a Holden 202 for $20 ex repco about 2 yrs back thought it was nice and cheap
yeah, the damper dude in Waihi did my 389 Pontiac balancer, came up like new!

That will be the case for more 'common' models. Although a look into the quality one rebuilt here in NZ versus a new one off the shelf might be interesting. For older or oddball stuff rebuilt tends to cost less.

The place I named said a mini one was about $160. Don't see why that would be too much different for other vehicles. Only one way to find out.
