I've recently bought a 2012 Fiesta LX auto hatch after driving a '96 Corolla manual wagon for nearly 13 years. The Corolla had enough pep for me but I am loving the zip of the Fiesta especially on windy roads - sits really well blatting around corners!
OP get whatever car you want - a man who owned a mini would say to me he has a great sense of humour and is confident enough not to care if other men tease him about having a small car. And a sense of humour and confidence are both a turn on for us women ;)

Had my Cooper S for nearly ten years now and I am also a confirmed Mini fan of the old style. The new one is extremely competent, economical (if you drive sensible that is) and just about the best brakes of any car.(At Pukekohe, with Mike Eady.100 - 0 in 26 metres.)

I am a guy and I have a 1600 supercharged black convertible mini cooper s that has had the computer chipped and remapped. It handles and accelerates faster than my twin turbo Subaru legacy. And no, I am not gay. Who cares what other people think of you. Get what ever you want.

I saw more Minis in the race department car park of Ferrari, than any of the other suggestions above. Since when were the door cards an indication of a car's performance and handling!Suggest you drive one before coming to an opinion.

I went for a blast in a bmw mini s/c and I was very impressed. Altho very small inside for me. Handle like it was on rails and had plenty of power to boot!

Yeah I like the ford focus turbos. They have a nice look and plenty of power altho I havent driven one.
