I actually have a set of those, with slightly longer bolts, used to compress the springs when fitting them, whats the issue, thats what they're made for
you want rough, get 3 big mates to sit on the bonnet while you tighten 3 dog collars vertically spaced around the coils - don't laugh too much, my old 170 falcon pillarless pursuit had those fitted when I bought it 30 yrs ago off the lot, and had a warrant issued by ford motors (wang) from the week before
