superchargers are a little one dimentional really,Turbo charged gives a load more of configurations and allows for more boost and adjustability. for around the same money.

i think they need the valve springs replaced too when you boost them. at high rpm they tend to float the intake valves and kaboom.

Head decompression gasket,may as well do the valve springs while they are off. My 4.0ltr 95 ef has decompression gasket and done 225kms now,never had the springs done. Still pulls 20psi and pushes 450hp at the wheels,daily driver.

it was a design "fault" with the boss engine. the springs were marginal at best and if you push boost up against the intake valve it doesnt seat back as well as it should. A lot different to the good old4 liter which will take a ton of abuse. the boss doesnt really need decompressing.just a bit of added reliability by fitting stiffer springs
