Thinking about buying a car from a car yard and trading in mine. Anyone have experience with car yards that offer good trade-ins in Auckland / Central region!

Best advise: Work out what you like, what you need the car to do, what is important to you (running costs, space, power, extra's) and then work out how much you are prepared to contribute towards the new car on top of what you have to trade. Once you have this much sorted try around, trade in costs will vary based on how badly they want to move the car on their lot (old stock, wrong stock for them), what they can get from wholesalers if they dont want your car for their lot etc. Any yard that offers inflated trade ins, make up for it with inflated prices.

Thanks, as for being ignorant about trade-ins vs selling privately. I am not. Looking for something hassle free and losing a couple of dollars (not thousands) to get that done in some circumstances is worthwhile. Thanks kazbanz. stupid I am not sometime there are deals that are worthwhile taking though. you don't ask you don't get answers:)

Something economical hahaha wishful thinking. More interested in having less pains getting rid of my Delica. she was good but giving some pains now that I do not wish to deal with and am interested in getting as close to break even one way or another.
