i just had my 1994 toyota carmy's four tires balanced and aligned. There was 3mm left on all 4 tires and i had them brought brand new. Thing is, my mate insists it was a waste of money as they probably need replacing anyway. I said that having it done will ensure that the last 1.5mm lasts longer before it fails a WOF. Who is right!

Is your life worth only 1.5mm! Would have been better money spent on a realignment when you put new tires on.

tyres unbalanced and unaligned are not the only things that contribute to worn tyers
