Just the feed back option, they can not make you buy anything.

There is a court case precedent from the DT that states a purchaser of a car from an auction site has the right to test the vehicle first. So yes they can change their mind.

Which case is that!

annoying as it is, you should be able to change your mind after a test ride if you not 100per cent, especially if it is a big ticket item, i guess its the same with a car from a dealer within timeframe!

If the attitude of the buyer was bad i would be off to the disputes tribunal. It's a simple process and considering the buyer agreed to trademes' terms and conditions, then a contract is in place which the buyer can only get out of , if you let them off. If the buyer was being a jerk about it, I would be teaching them a lesson. Disputes tribunal is a very easy simple and cheap process.

You could go through the legal process etc ooooor you could avoid all the associated hassles/financial loss and simply place bad feedback, relist it and sell it to someone else. You may even get more money for it this time around
Why should you be able to change your mind! To place a bid means you've done all the checks to the car you need to do, are happy with it and are willing to buy it. Test drives, checks etc etc should be carried out BEFORE the end of the auction. You don't buy a TV from harvey norman and go back a week later because you've changed your mind. No, it's not the same with car dealers either. you can return a car but NOT because you decided a week later you don't like the colour or some other ridiculous thing.

If the car was not everything that was stated in the advert then the buyer does have the option to change his mind as he has bought it with honest intent off an advert that should be equally as honest. If he has just changed his/her mind and is dicking you around then try and get trade me to ban him/her and cancel his/her account. The least would be bad feedback and a relist fee !

Ask for $100 for the hassle and relisting etc
