i heave recently been hearing like a tapping noise coming from engine bay, i thought it was my tappets getting real bad real fast, but i then soon realized the noise went away after i put my foot on the clutch.i am certain its the release bearing. This only started happening today, any chance anyone would know how much roughly how much it will be to fix/adjust! or maybe more will i need to add more clutch fluid! i haven't checked it yet fluid levels yet but yeah my partner does drive it around.

if the noise goes awaywhen youput your foot onthe clutch it wontbe the release bearing. it willbe the input bearing in the gearbox.

Time to check your gearbox oil levels & condition. May still be ok with a better grade of oil.

Release bearings generally dont click , the might rattle but not common . Could be a number of things . Find a friendly mechanic , most workshops have one and get a qualified opinion .
