lpg is a rippoff,if you work in the oil and gas industry you will know its largly burnt off in flare stacks.it should be less than half the price it is,there are even two different prices at the petrol station,one for automotive,then they charge 3-4 times as much when you fill your bbq botttle.theives

NZ - 4 million people, Aussie 12 million people or three times as many as us. So we should really be $1.80, economies of scale - more people, more purchasing power.

Tax - years ago the Australian government granted lpg a huge long term tax holiday to encourage people to convert to it. Five years ago they announced they would reimpose all the taxes over a ten year phase in period.
Nz prices area bases on global market prices in Saudi Arabia. But if the stuff is mostly from nz and would otherwise be wasted I question the pricing. It does seem to be priced too close to petrol to gourge as much profit as possible.

We import LPG from Ozi think . Dont produce enough here ( if we still do or has it gone the way of the gas to gasoline plant !

Try all the Govt taxes put on and ACC that they don't have in OZ
