Hey guys, have any one of you reconditioned these yourselves! What did you end up doing to the internals and what would be a rough ballpark figure to get one done. Cheers.

Mate just bought a rebuild kit for a 360 thru BNT and it was so cheap we couldn't believe it.Kit cost was just shy of $500.

only ring if you have deep pockets or own your own home you can mortage. i've done a few mopars, big n small, they're torque monsters with them long rods. what power do you want, how big is your budget!

haha I would honestly be happy with 400+ horses and I think I should have a good $4-5k. Is this too little! Or enough to rebuild with some strong internals!

Depends if the block needs machining. I`ve had my 360 bored 60thou. Crank regrind and balance with flat top pistns, mild cam. Was expensive but it is bullet proof and will last. If you want just 400hp from that BB you might just get away with a touch up clean and hone, depends on the block. $5k is probably resonable with some goodies kicked in there. Remember the Chryslers have big torque curves, if you want that baby to scream you might need to see the bank manager.

400 ponies from a 440 is just a street hyd cam & some good parts. 5k will cover it easily as long as the right man builds it. mild porting in the heads, a good carb. decent rods n pistons, new valves n springs will cut that budget.

i presume you mean open road not 1/4 mile! to be 1/4 mile thats running hard into the 9's n no stock 440 is going to do that with a stock A body.

www.440source.com would be a good place to start. they can customize a package for you or even just good to talk to about your build. i have found them helpful in the past
