Yep . mate - Chrysler got a 6 cylinder, 3 carbs and a 3 speed and stuck it into what surely must be one of the worlds most coolest cars - went to the mountain and expected to win. Win against V8 Chebbies and Clevo Fords . Balls man .

that hemi is quicker that the phase 4 in the 1/4 but just didnt have the legs at the other end. An american designer bob h came up with the charger hubbard may have been his last name. The man deserves a beer for sure

Chrysler shoulda released some of the US stuff down under. That would have sorted out the Phord vs Cheb argument. Released the 'Cuda' with its 340 or something. Yehaa! I spent some of the 70's and most of the 80's with a Val or some description. All my mates were either Holden or Ford lovers. It wasn't fashionalbe to like a Chrysler back then. I liked them because they were different and their big brothers in the US were decimating the other brands in Superstock and the Pro Fuel classes. Haha . nothing much has changed aye!

Yea they didnt do much with the 340 on our side of the world. not sure why cos were mean. Im sure I have some pics of a planned run of 340 chargers that never made it to sale with big 340 right on the sides. Gonna have to hunt them out now and some other pre pics of the charger in design.
