Reco,350 chev,boat motor,Before start up have spun oilpump for 3 min,plenty of pressure at electric oil sender,and external filter.But no sign of oil at rockers,Is this a concern.

The drill im using is a cordless 2 speed .I used this on fast speed,may be not quick enough.ill try longer.

You probably won't get it at the rockers as it has to go through the hydraulic lifters first, just make sure you have a bit of oil over the rockers etc, get oil pressure the way you have already done it, put the dissy back in and fire it up.

while you are priming with the drill, get a mate to turn the engine over, you should start to see oil at the rockers after that.

Yep do what Cuda says. Had the same problem with my 360. Especially if motor has been sitting for a while.

They work on quite low oil pressure anyway so will take ages that way. As Kingfisher says it has to prime the lifters with "splash" first.
