That would be a sad day indeed. I cant believe its permanent. Im a huge fan of the TVR's. Would be real sad to think thats the end of them.

Depends if Smolensky agrees to sell the brand to someone else that thinks they can make a go of it.Sadly he wants to build power generating windmills under the TVR brand instead.

The Indians will buy it to add to their collection of british marques.

Surely he cant just dump whats left of the company. Apparently there are lots of unfinished car shells chaissis etc. Hopefully he'll sell off all the moulds etc as one big going concern and some one can carry it on under another name if he is that mad.

If he's decided to "dump" it he's got enough money that he wouldn't care 'bout unsold things or even the name.

"TVR VIndaloo" - hottest car on the track.
I like it.

If the Indians DO buy it at least they will make it viable.

I agree, and having toured the Blackpool factory, standards of build wouldn't be any worse.

Well the Indians havn't exactly made a mess of Jaguar, so I wouldn't be totally opposed to it. Better than it disappearing completely

Sad when you see individualist sports car manufacturers fall over. Marcos rose from the dead twice but look to be dormant again, along with TVR.
I too am a huge fan of both marques as they offer something just a little different, a little quirky, even a little (or a lot!) unreliable, but one thing they are not is grey porridge.
The very fact that they were never produced in huge numbers makes them far more interesting than many two a penny super cars that everyone recognises and both had their roots in the 750MC Austin Seven specials.
