Withdrawn after reserve met?

sueh, Aug 5, 5:03am
I've noticed a lot of car auctions with this happening, is this common with car auctions on here!

sueh, Aug 5, 9:01am
Thanks but that doesn't really answer my question.

Yep. TM could'nt care less mate, they have their money from the listing so why would they bother chasing it up! Most of them are muppets anyway.

So the seller does not like the price its reached even though its over reserve, so they pull it and relist! Not fair on the buyer is it!

Yes, welcome to TradeMe.

Actually, it does. The fact that poster knows TradeMe don't care would indicate it happens enough for him to know that.

Off the track but. have you seen auctions that say no reserve, start bid at $1500.00. So what the naffs that if it aint a reserve then !

kazbanz, Aug 6, 6:34am
neville-you see the same thing at turners -no reserve car auctions but they start at 1500 etc

moosie_21, Aug 6, 8:20am
No reserve means you can own it from the first bid, not that's $1. If it was no reserve as you are putting it, bidding would start at $0.00.

Me too. Not being able to have the first bid at the smallest denomination of currency which will then be sold unless bettered is not 'no reserve'. The reserve is clearly the lowest the bid they'll accept.

Web definition, No Reserve:
A vehicle sold without reserve, meaning it will sell to the highest bidder, regardless of the hammer price

me too

a starting bid of 1500 is a 1500 dollar reserve auction (to me)
