Can anyone tell me any details about the P licence course involves! What topics does it cover, where do you do it and the approx cost!Have been to the NZ Transport Agency site but it doesn't give details about what the course involves.It mentions the other requirements like eye sight checks, fit and proper person vetting etc. This would be for a small passenger vehicle carrying up to 3-4 passengers.

Just done mine, nearly $900 for all the course,s and licence. That,s for one year, but could have (and should have) done it for 3, would have been another $250. There was licence fee, fit person,s report, medical certificate, log book, and fatigue mangement course, then P class endorsement course. Took 11 week,s to get it all together. I waited 7 week,s on my fit person,s (police) report.
Thanks poppaj, takes quite a few weeks to get it all sorted doesn't it! I'll contact one of the local course providers in my area Wellington to get more details of what the courses involve.Not sure how they are done yet. Later this week I'll get more info on the hourly rate of the job I am interested in to see if it will be worth me spending the $900 plus to get the P licence or look for a different type of non driving work.
