Can anyone suggest where to get two5& 3/4 inch lucas headlights complete with the metal headlight pod. It also must have provision for a parklight. What cars would have had this! Cheers and thanks

Wern't the Lucas 5&3/4 units (as Triumph 2500) sealed beam units hence no provision for park light. Some Fiat stuff from the 70s ran a 5&3/4 bulb type light.just guessing but maybe a motorbike unit.
Thanks for the help so far but the twin headlight cars did not have seperate pods! and the Narva buckets , i think are plastic. The motor cycle ones do not have adjuster do they!.but please keep thinking

The Rover P6 certainly has pods.

Did any of the 5&3/4 british cars have a full bucket. From what I can remember once they switched to the sealed beam the light units were no longer in the mudguard area but in the engine bay.I agree you could get the light connector with the parklight bulb fitting.I think Escort did that but it was a 7" light.Hunters were square but the Singer Vogue was round.Austin princess!

Try a Harley aftermarket shop, those guys usually have 5 3/4 light units in stock

You cant call those things "engineering", they just "evolved". Anyway, the Chrysler Valiants of the late 70's had the lamps you are looking for, with park lamp provision to if my memory is correct.

Go back to #3 1055 is the one you want. Cheap az, and readily available. Put a +90 or100 bulb in, and melt the tarseal.

The VF Valiant VIP had quad 5-3/4" lamps and from memory here too they did have park light provision on the outer beams/lamps.

You can buy the 5-3/4" round sealed beam lamps brand new at super crap for about $30, two pin (high beam only) or 3 pin (dip and high beam). The ones used in Triumph 2500s / Rover P6s do NOT have a park lamp within the main headlight lamp, there are completely separate little fittings for the park lights / side lights.
I'm not aware of a metal headlight pod, wouldn't that be part of the car!

Methinks sealed beams are too modern for this request.
Try the units from a 1948 Hillman Minx or the 49-50 low light Morris Minor

They are 7" are they not!IIRC pre sealed beams in most cases had a full bucket mount inside the bucket which was part of the guard.Once the sealed beam arrived the bottom of the bucket disappeared as in most cases the light was no longer mounted in the front of the actual mudguard but into the grill assembly.

You might be right there - by wanting the 'pod' (commonly known as a bucket), sort of points to that. OP might need to go to an old-school wrecker.
