Hi i have purchased a 2009 xl ford ranger and i would like to get the factory keyless entry working, it has previously had an alarm fitted which has been removed by seller. I have checked as much of the wiring as i can see and it all looks ok, i have tried to get it into programing mode a few times but it doesn't work.
Cheers mate but i have tried this, i follow the instructions exactly but still nothing. When a factory alarm is installed does the factory keyless entry get disabled ! Any other ideas!

I'm not sure on the whole alarm fitted and removed part. The car comes with an alarm/immobiliser system so I can't see why another alarm would be fitted. However, if an aftermarket jobby has been fitted, it's quite likely they did fiddle with the keyless entry system. Could be as simple as it being changed to a different frequency to suit there remotes, or having it completely changed or substituted. If it doesn't go into programming mode at all I'd say someones been into the BEM/BCM (Body Control Module) wiring and changed something.
