Ummm hfc2, seems BG wasn't as clean as everone thinks, also appers he's been banned from any & all competition in NHRA.
A little research on dragcoverage.com and there are LOTS of threads on Bob Glidden AND Darrell Alderman cheating.
I knew 'bout Alderman using nitrous but didn't know 'bout Glidden doin' it.

Garth Hogan = Of course. Brett Wilson = Kinda Thunderpark = Hell yeah.
I'm Hawkes Bay born & bred and spent far too much time at Thunderpark when i was growing up. My first time out there was when the LA Hooker& Phoenix came out '77 / '78.
My sisters BF worked for Butch reid (DR Zhivago Ford pop) so we always got in for free.

Lee Shepherd was kicking Gliddens rs and was defending his 4th championship when he was unfotunately killed in testing. It was only then that Glidden went on to win his championships. Glidden raced 500 ci pro stock and did not use a cleveland block, rather a big block ford hemi.

Pete Robinson would have been a legend of Top Alcohol if not for being killed far too young while racing. Had the 427SOHC Ford humming.
hfc2,
Jun 29, 5:42pm

hfc2,
Jun 29, 6:16pm

attitudedesignz,
Jun 29, 6:20pm
Huh!
Tasca snr raced funny car, Tasca ll raced funny car and Tasca lll races funny car.
Where do you get the Tasca- pro stock connection from!
hfc2,
Jun 29, 6:27pm
no he not pro stock.
mazzyz,
Jun 29, 6:32pm
Lee Shepherd driving the Reher Morrison chevrolet did the 1st 7sec nhra pro stock pass in 1982. Glidden did not get his ford thunderbird until 1984. No pro stock car did 7 seconds in the 70's, let alone 190mph which came many years after the first 7. Wtf are you on! Get your facts straight before you start spouting off. Regards, a die hard Chev fan.

Mate all the info' is out there to find.
Thunderbird was mid' 84 to '88.
The Pinto was Cleveland powered but that was in the '70s.

AHHH Reher-Morrison, the start of the mountain motor wars between them and Sonny Leonard. They got up to appro' 808 ci before NHRA cried enough.
