One party thinks washing the paint on a car using a brush intended for window washing, with nylon bristles on the outside and foam rubber in the centre is less abrasive than cleaning a procelain handbasin with a cream (abrasive) cleaner like Jif.The other 'party' thinks it would be way more abrasive. What think you! Bristle brush action on car paint more or less abrasive (and damaging) than Jifaction on porcelain basin.

Why would you do either if you both have common sense!

I think one party needs to stick to washing the car and the other party stick to cleaning the toilet!

"Cream' cleaners are recommended by some manufacturers of bathroom creamics. Not sure what equipment is recommended for cleaning car paint, but it appears to vary considerably.

Strange question.
Almost any form of washing / wiping / rubbing / polishing will eventually ruin paint, because paint is a pretty soft and chemically reactive substance.
Whereas the glaze on proper porcelain basins & sinks is EXTREMELY hard.
But it's probably better to gradually wear away the whole painted surface through frequent washing, than to allow bird droppings to rapidly eat thru localised points on it via chemical attack or allow clods of mud to harbour rust.!

It may not be that easy.
