some stunning roads and sights down this way. try some of the more odd ball roads as well, state highway goat track is a drag.

For me, its the east cape and northland on the way up and taranaki on the way back. I missed them the last time i rode upland. the bonus is i get to do another lap of the south island on the way to the ferry. Up via the southern lakes and lindis pass, then via murchison to nelson. queen charlotte to picton. over and into the north. lap the north again then back to riwaka, over the takaka hill, back down the west coast and home. I love the riding/camping freedom this country offer and NZ is awesome for bikes

I got myself a copy of the nz motorcycling atlas a few years ago. money very well spent. it give some awesome alternative routes and its a bit of a must have. If youre doing the Milford road and are staying in te anau for a night, i have a lock up garage you are welcome to use.

Will be making the most of the summer this year. Was parked up for a large chunk of last summer due to a broken neck. We ride all year round but this year we want to do a road trip round the Sth Island during the warmer months

Heading to the south east of the states this year, for a month on rented Harleys. Hopefully will get back, and another 5 days for an annual ride around the South Island, on Labour weekend, that I have done for the past 4 years, if I am allowed. LOL. Then day & 2 day trips through summer. Got the Road King for sale, looking at a new Heritage or maybe a new CVO Convertible, great looking bike.
