Started it up, heard a 'bang', got out and looked under to see the outer 'railed' crankshaft pulley had come off the inner section of that same pulley, which is still attached.
I haven't had the chance to get under there and see what is supposed to have held that on (I'm stuck with a baby). Anybody able to give me some tips as to what is likely (parts needed, press, etc)!

at least a new pulley and new belts never looked inside one so dont know how big the job is

Sorted. Rubber perished. New pulley required. $75+gst.
Annoying.
