That driver is one determined russian!

Question is how did the truck get into the river in the first place lmao

jason18, Aug 5, 1:17pm
What a beast.

A lot of roads in the outbacks of Russia are quite rough and often involve river crossings. The first rule of river crossing: get out of the truck and walk it first and / or use a long stick, then you know where all the high and low spots are. Based on that, you can then choose where the best place is to cross. He clearly f.ed up.

He totally did. But then he recovered like a champ. Thats epic. It was probably the boss's truck. No way was he letting it get sunk

Diesel engines. Nuff said

Great clip; despite being a mad bastard the driver had obviously done it before. Great use of the tilt steering to keep the traction happening.

That's a cool truck.

The idea of crossing a river in a 4x4 is to not get wet dude. Real truckers don't need to do that poncy crap like you boys in ya Hilux do. Anyway, rules are made to be broken.

mugenb20b, Aug 5, 3:07pm
On an average 4 cylinder diesel, a teaspoon of water is enough to stuff them (ie. bend a conrod). On a 4 cylinder petrol, a tablespoon. But, yeah, diesel all the way.

mugenb20b, Aug 5, 3:08pm
No. You got it all wrong. The idea is to get wet and covered in mud (and try and get stuck of course!).

pollymay, Aug 5, 3:28pm
On a petrol, sparkplugs

noswalg, Aug 5, 3:57pm
You need to find some deeper rivers then, like this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch!v=j7gZ28Msa8g
