I have a 1998 presage which I can't get the gear working.the car will start up ok but when changing to a gear it automatically turn off. I have check oil and transmission and its seem ok so I have no idea wants wrong. Our mechanical told us also to check oil, transmission and so on and so on. Please any ideas. our car starts ok butchanging the gear to reverse it turns the car off.

We got this car back in 2005. I know its been 7 years but never had any problems until now.
